AN INTRODUCTION

In 2006 we founded Ngecho Secondary School so that children from the many surrounding primary schools would have access to affordable secondary education – there was no such facility easily accessible to the area. It is located in part of the grounds of the Primary School – the playing fields are shared.

The school has grown rapidly and now has some 350 students. It is regarded as the most ultra-modern school in the region.

WHAT HAVE WE DONE?

We completed the first phase of construction in 2006, providing four classrooms. This was quickly followed by two science laboratories; Boys & Girls toilets, water harvesting, an administration block including a library and staff room plus a multi-purpose assembly hall.

Through our bursary fund we also support a number of students to ensure that bright but poor children who are unable to afford the school fees can complete their secondary education.

WHAT’S THE PLAN?

The hall was completed in February 2018 but still requires funds to help fit it out with chairs and tables and kitchen facilities for school lunches.
