How to help

We rely on the generosity of our donors to continue our work in Kenya.
Please consider supporting us in whatever way you can.

Donate to HSK

Even relatively small donations go a long way. Because we have practically no administrative costs we can guarantee your money will be spent where it is needed most. And because we are a small charity we can accommodate any requests or wishes you may have for your donation.

We also welcome donations by cheque and by standing order. Please contact us and we will be very happy to arrange.

If you wish to donate by Payroll Giving (‘Give As You Earn’) or through a legacy, or you want to discuss your donation with us, please contact us and we will be very happy indeed to help.

Donations in Kind

We welcome donations in kind where practicable and cost-effective. We particularly welcome computer equipment, as we are looking to build up our schools’ IT facilities. Several UK schools and businesses have already donated stock which we have helped them transport to Kenya through our partners ‘Computers 4 Africa’ www.computers4africa.org.uk

Unfortunately we are not able to transport books (including textbooks) to Kenya, because of their weight and size, and because the Kenyan curriculum changes very frequently. If you have books to donate, please consider BookAid International instead.

Fundraise for HSK

As a small charity we really rely on fundraising by volunteers. Past fundraising initiatives have provided for new classrooms, sport equipment and bursaries.

In 2009 a team of cyclists led by HSK trustee Peter King cycled unsupported from the UK to Kenya to raise funds for Kekopey Secondary School, in the longest known bicycle rally of its type.

If you’d like any advice about fundraising please feel free to contact us.
